Veev, an innovative construction industry leader and subsidiary of Lennar, the second-largest home developer in the United States, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in our Tel Aviv office. With a fabrication factory and site assembly in Silicon Valley and design offices in Tel Aviv, Veev is actively addressing the challenge of transforming house construction into a mass-production factory environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop detailed mechanical, structural, and architectural building solutions with a focus on design for manufacturing and cost-effective mass production.
  • Create detailed design-to-manufacturing drawings using Solidworks, considering high-volume manufacturing requirements.
  • Design test prototypes to assess the feasibility and manufacturability of proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work closely with cross-departmental teams such as Manufacturing, site Assembly, QC, digital twin, supply chain, logistics etc.
  • Lead the mechanical engineering discipline within the team, setting standards, planning tasks, and mentoring team members.
  • Integrate designs into and from other software platforms like Revit/Navisworks, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration.

Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Hold a recognized Mechanical Engineering certificate from a reputable institution.
  • Possess 7+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience with a proven A-to-Z track record.
  • Experience in high-volume design for manufacturing with a successful project track record.
  • Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in using Solidworks.
  • Exhibit a keen understanding of technical drawings, plans, and construction details.
  • Emphasize strong attention to detail, organization, and a systematic approach alongside robust technical skills.
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic work environment, contributing effectively to team efforts.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment based on technical expertise and embrace self-directed learning.
  • Possess proficient command of the English language.

Advantages:

  • Knowledge of prefabrication and manufacturing/shop drawings of building systems.
  • Familiarity with Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
  • Experience with product development/product life-cycle processes.
