The Opportunity:

As a Design QC Associate, you will leverage your expertise to independently ensure the coordination, accuracy, and production-readiness of Veev’s designs. Your high-impact contributions will directly influence the success of modular construction projects by maintaining and improving quality standards across design validation processes.

In addition to executing advanced quality control workflows, you will play a key role in assisting team members to improve the quality of their outputs, fostering collaboration across departments, and driving continuous improvement in design validation. This position requires a problem-solving mindset, strong accountability, and the ability to guide others while delivering results. Your work will be instrumental in advancing Veev’s mission of creating efficient, sustainable, and scalable homes..

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing and ensuring design coordination, completeness, and readiness for production materials.
  • Run automation and validation to identify and resolve design discrepancies.
  • Define efficient automated validation infrastructure to be developed by Software Group.
  • Ensuring the design documents and digital assets meet Veev’s standards.
  • Own and implement QC procedures for all design-to-fabrication processes, including script definition, testing, and approval.
  • Identify and report design issues to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining quality-based procedures and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align building and fabrication requirements.
  • Support stakeholders in identifying and addressing factory and site-specific scopes of work.
  • Inform relevant stakeholders of validation outcomes and quality metrics throughout the production process.

Requirements, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Practical Engineering Certificate.
  • Experience in manufacturing, ideally in larger-scale products or steel processing.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on organization and time management.
  • Proven experience in reviewing and ensuring quality control for technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with quality control methodologies and practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment by leveraging technical expertise.
  • Proactively identifies areas for improvement and demonstrates a commitment to independent learning.

    Nice-to-Have Skills and Competencies:

    • Basic proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks Inventor, Revit.
    • Familiarity with PDM systems, BIM360, Navisworks, and other BIM tools for collaborative modeling.
    • Knowledge of prefabrication or manufacturing/shop drawings for building systems.
    • Experience reading and interpreting construction site plans and documents.
