The Role
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly at Veev. You’ll convert departments‘ Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders and will act as an owner of the end-to-end indirect procurement process. Your goal is to ensure that the right materials and services are available at the right time to meet our company’s needs.. Responsibilities
- Review purchase requisitions to place Purchase Orders as and when needed and manage purchase orders through invoicing and delivery.
- Maintain accurate status of Purchase Order lines with order quantities and due dates.
- Build and maintain operational partnerships with suppliers.
- Act as the primary interface with suppliers on all communication regarding purchase orders and issue resolution.
- Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (Product, accounts payable, planning, quality, engineering, etc.)
- Partner with the Supply Chain team, IT / ERP, and other business stakeholders on continuous improvement of purchasing processes and systems.
- Support on boarding and training of new suppliers to ensure operational excellence and compliance with Veev’s processes and policies.
- Ensure receipts and invoices are gathered and documented to facilitate credit card reconciliations.
- Assist the Supply Chain team and finance department with the onboarding of new vendors.
Must-Have Skills and Competencies
These are critical skills, competencies, and qualifications required for success in this role.
- Relevant experience in direct material purchasing, inventory management, or material planning in a manufacturing and/or Engineering/R&D and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, NetSuite ERP
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Arena PLM experience (nice to have)
Compensation
Offers are based on a combination of experience, skills, and location. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 annually for Hayward, CA.
