Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan and run the Finish team members.
  • Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines for the job and ensure that cost control measures are followed
  • Monitor job safety and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure that technical specifications are being met
  • Assist with developing entire job schedules, 90-day schedules, and three-week schedules
  • Monitor job schedule, coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers, and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately
  • Advise senior-level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc
  • Be HANDS ON.
  • Work as part of a team to perform successfully the finishes of the home.
  • Work in a manner that supports the company's customer service goals
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quality
  • Complete tasks in an organized, methodical, and clean manner
  • Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on a given task
  • Follow all company policies, safety rules and quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually or machine-assisted

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation, preferably a truck or a van
  • A strong technical and practical background in carpentry and finish work including flooring, cabinetry, finished surfaces, finish plumbing and finish electrical.
  • 3+ years of experience in the planning, scheduling, and management of construction work with emphasis on finish work.
  • Experience with and broad knowledge of finish tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret plans, and possess a high level of comfort working with numbers
  • Experience working in a team setting and directing/reviewing the work of others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, BIM360.
  • High School Diploma / GED - Required
  • Meticulous attention to detail to follow precise plans. Must know how to read drawings and translate into actual plans and work.
  • Measuring skills to take accurate, precise measurements of materials to follow shop drawings
  • Work with a variety of tools and equipment
  • Must be able to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stand for long periods of time
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Written and verbal communications in English
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
