Responsibilities
- As a Journeyman Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in our projects in various locations in California.
- Test and ensure proper functioning of all components, including valves, alarms, and control systems
- Mechanical knowledge to effectively troubleshoot and repair system components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for accurate installation
- Knowledge of plumbing principles for proper system connection
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and quality
- Complete tasks in an organized, methodical, and clean manner
- Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on a given task
- Follow all company policies, safety rules and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Assemble items as instructed
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually or machine-assisted
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as hands on Fire Sprinkler Fitter in the state of California.
- Proficiency in tube bending techniques for proper pipe fitting
- High School Diploma / GED - Required
- Meticulous attention to detail to follow precise plans. Must know how to read plans and translate into actual plans and work.
- Measuring skills to take accurate, precise measurements of materials to follow shop drawings
- Work with a variety of tools and equipment specifically tied to the pipe fitting requirements.
- Must be able to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stand for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Written and verbal communications in English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
