This position will report directly to the VP of operations and will have Customer quality (B&I), Manufacturing quality (Fabrication) and Supplier Quality under their core management responsibilities.

The Quality Director at Veev will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality strategy to support manufacturing at scale and construction operations. This role will be responsible for establishing robust quality systems, processes, and standards to ensure consistent product excellence across all phases of production and site execution. The Quality Director will drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee inspection protocols, and ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.

A key focus will be building a culture of quality and accountability, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Product Development, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the value chain. The Quality Director will be pivotal in supplier qualification, risk assessment, and root cause analysis while leading efforts to standardize metrics and reporting for performance visibility. Balancing efficiency with uncompromising quality standards as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead B&I, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality at Veev
  • Manage a team of Sr. managers, engineers, and technicians to develop and sustain world-class quality systems
  • Work closely with the Engineering department to launch new products successfully
  • Error/Mistake Proof
  • PFMEA/Control Plans
  • Incoming/Inline/End of Line inspections
  • Hire/Coach/Mentor a team of rockstars capable of working autonomously to sustain and improve the business
  • Manage all related quality defects and develop and grow the current corrective action process
  • Develop/maintain/improve critical KPIs that help monitor the quality of our products inline and end-of-line as well as field quality and incoming inspection and supplier audits
  • Sustain and improve upon corrective action process, ensuring support from all functional areas of the organization (i.e., Design, Factory, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Set up the strategy towards QMS and ISO standards and be a champion of change/improvement
  • Lead all field/supplier quality audits as required
  • Work closely with B&I & Factory to ensure all containment activities are effective and on schedule
  • Standardize monthly analysis on quality issues by area
  • Track defects per home, FPY, and overall Scrap and cost of poor quality.
  • Track and manage all Field rejections and ensure conformance to Veev’s processes
  • Work closely with the factory to ensure all critical product characteristics are understood with training aids/plans
  • Work closely with the NPI validation/prototype/design team during development builds to track and understand all critical requirements
  • Lead the development of new processes as it relates to Quality
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Arena PLM experience (nice to have)

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $210,000 - $230,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
