In this position, you will be working on developing digital design and delivery within the design environment and company design systems.
A successful candidate would be creative and proactive, a keen observer and practitioner for BIM standards, and capable of working successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce and develop design content, including schematic diagrams, Revit families and complex parametric families, Solid assemblies and parts
- Working closely with DTS BIM coordination to develop company standards, workflows, infrastructure & strategy for the design environment.
- Develop digital content to provide additional capabilities of a full production package of new engineering concepts.
- Undertake BIM QA/QC, including clash detection and design rule checks for engineering building blocks, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with other team members, assuring coordinated solutions.
- Research and create business cases for new software technologies
- Drive for continuous improvement of efficiency, productivity and quality.
- Assist & Instruct on using the modeling software (Revit) to its maximum potential.
- Develop proof of concept (POC) automation tools, and support our automation department on developing standards for design automation solutions.
Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years experience in Construction related profession (Architecture, Engineering etc).
- Capable of building Revit Families and content to high standard and quality.
- Good capability in the use of dynamo.
- Strong interest in technology.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
- Capable of working in an agile environment with good teamwork and people skills.
- Capable of managing schedules and deliverables for design projects.
- Advanced user of Revit, Navisworks and other BIM tools.
- Knowledge of pre-fabrication or manufacturing will be advantageous.
- Must be able to work well with others in a highly collaborative, team environment.
