The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Specialist with expertise in Arena PLM administration and experience in BIM software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the creation, process, implementation, and closure of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs). Additionally, the candidate will coordinate the collection of objective evidence for ECO implementation closure and work closely with various cross-functional teams including Product, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure efficient change management processes are implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Arena PLM software to manage documentation and change control processes efficiently.
  • Manage the creation, review, approval, and distribution of ECOs and MCOs.
  • Coordinate the collection of objective evidence for ECO implementation to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Host Change Control Boards (CCBs) to facilitate discussions and decisions related to proposed changes.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to facilitate smooth change management processes.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for Change Management processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to change control activities.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Arena PLM and change management processes as needed.
  • Monitor and track the status of ECOs and MCOs to ensure timely implementation and closure.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate and address change control issues and requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Document Control Specialist or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Expertise in using and administrating Arena PLM software is required.
  • Experience with BIM software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of change management processes and principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document management and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Arena PLM administration.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with hosting Change Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Experience with implementing process improvements and optimizing document control processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $100,000 - $120,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
