The IT/IS Support Specialist role plays a critical role in ensuring seamless IT operations and advanced technical support for the organization. This individual will handle and own complex IT issues and projects as assigned, ensuring seamless business continuity. The role will also assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of our current tech stack and contribute to the improvement of the IT support processes. The Sr IT/IS Support Specialist has excellent problem-solving skills and uses a methodical approach to their given workloads. They also contribute in mentoring junior team members and the IT department as a whole. The ability to work under pressure and resolve issues, and communicate in a timely manner are also key
Key Responsibilities:
End-User Support:
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Provide guidance to users on IT tools, applications, and best practices.
Systems and Equipment Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with software installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage hardware replacements as needed.
Network Support:
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi connectivity and access issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document support requests, resolutions, and procedures in the IT helpdesk system.
- Track and report recurring issues to recommend long-term solutions.
IT Project Assistance:
- Support IT projects, such as hardware rollouts, software deployments, and system upgrades.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT analysis, support, or a related role.
- Proficiency with IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, including networks, and cloud technologies (Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, MS365, AWS).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with IT service management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $85,000 - $110,000 annually for Hayward, CA, and surrounding areas.
