We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for quantifying and managing the product roadmap for our innovative, high-volume home production. As the key liaison between all departments, you will intake, analyze, and quantify new ideas and initiatives to evaluate their value and effort. You will also manage external benchmarks and work closely with external companies and consultants to assess alternative solutions and systems. Additionally, you will develop high-quality product requirements for approved initiatives, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and meet both objective and subjective criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Roadmap Analysis and Quantification:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all departments to intake new ideas and initiatives for the product roadmap.
  • Quantify and analyze each initiative using strong analytical skills and knowledge of mechanical design, CAD, and PLM systems.
  • Collaborate with external companies and consultants to obtain high-quality benchmarks and alternative solutions.

2. Value to Effort Assessment:

  • Assess the value and effort required for each product initiative, using data-driven analysis to support decision-making.
  • Present quantified assessments of product initiatives to management, including detailed analysis and recommendations.

3. Requirements Documentation:

  • Write high-quality product requirements for approved initiatives that have passed the value/effort evaluation and been approved by management.
  • Ensure that product requirements documents comprehensively address both subjective and non-subjective criteria, incorporating input from all relevant stakeholders.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, etc.) to ensure all product initiatives are aligned with company strategy and objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to drive product initiatives forward.

5. Data Management and Analysis:

  • Utilize CAD/PLM systems to gather and analyze data on current products and potential improvements.
  • Leverage strong analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product enhancement.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Engineering, Architecture, Product Design, or a related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mechanical design and familiarity with CAD/PLM systems (e.g., SolidWorks) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing clear, comprehensive product requirements documents.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and analyses clearly and effectively to management and cross-functional teams.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $150,000-180,000 $ annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
