Safety Associate

Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.

The Role

The Safety Associate implements and coordinates the environmental health and safety programs at Veev. The position ensures the safety of employees, protection of the environment and compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The Safety Associate interacts with company employees, contractors, vendors and outside agencies to address EHS issues/concerns in a proactive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. (will start scheduling regular inspections starting March 1, 2024.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to determine root cause and develop preventive measures.
  • Provide safety training to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections and training activities.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety programs.
  • Disposal of all hazardous, biohazardous and electronic waste in an environmentally responsible and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all regulatory required health and safety programs including but not limited to, IIPP, hazard communication, emergency response, hearing protection, PPE, respiratory protection, ergonomics and contractor safety.
  • Stay up- to date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • AA degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree with 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communications, organizational and planning skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, taking initiative and working in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and EHS best practices.
