The Role

Veev is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join our team. This role reports to the Manager of Training & Development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio/video production, instructional design, in-person and virtual training facilitation, and e-learning authoring. Veev’s training endeavor primarily focuses on our manufacturing and home building processes, safety protocols, quality outcomes, and operational best practices. The Training Specialist will be responsible for working with our in-house subject matter experts in creating, delivering, and maintaining comprehensive SOPs that are used in new-hire training, facilitating onboarding presentations and initial role training, as well as with change management initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Audio/Video Production:
    • Produce high-quality training videos, tutorials, and other multimedia content that effectively convey complex concepts and procedures.
    • Working within our training design process, create SOPs for use on the manufacturing floor, as well as in the field.
  • Instructional Design:
    • Develop and design training materials, including job aids, and e-learning modules tailored to the needs of the manufacturing and assembly elements of the company.
  • Live Facilitating:
    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels.
    • Facilitate onboarding sessions/presentations for new hires, ensuring they are prepared to succeed in their roles.
  • E-Learning Authoring:
    • Design and develop interactive e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, or similar software.
    • Implement assessments and knowledge checks within e-learning courses to evaluate learner progress and retention.
  • Collaboration:
    • Partner with managers, subject matter experts, and HR to help identify training needs and develop targeted solutions.
  • Compliance:
    • Constantly reinforce with team members our simultaneous and equal focus on Safety, Procedure, and Quality.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Learning & Development.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and e-learning authoring tools (ie, Articulate).
  • Strong audio/video production skills, including experience with editing software (ie, Camtasia).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $80,000 - $100,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
